Gambia Mission Report (March)

Below is the latest report from Isaac Daye:

"Teaching is a key part of the great commission and that can be done with different kinds of method-open air preaching , conference, Bible class and schools, one on one ect ect, We are limited as to where we can go or be at one particular time as far as the above methods of teaching or reaching out to the lost is concern but we have two methods or means that give us unlimited opportunities to be in so many places at the same time and reach thousands if not millions and that is radio (world Radio) and Bible correspondence (World Bible School). Praise God who have made provision for us to have access to these two wonderful and unlimited means and methods of teaching and preaching the gospel to the lost making it possible for us to meet the global scope of the great commission-Mt 28:18-19;Mk 16:15. How wonderful it is to preach for thirty minutes get a response from a listener who expresses interest in studying God’s word by Correspondence and later on by that one listener to reach out to over 100,000 eight years later ? What do you think about this again that by the same means a soul was converted and becomes a new testament preacher and teacher and went on to plant a congregation that now have over forty members in five years. Today by using world Bible school we are averaging a 1,500 new enrollment in Sierra Leone and 800 in Liberia monthly and over 10 baptisms monthly. The above is just the tap of the iceberg of what God have done in our mission work over the last 13 years in the Gambia and Sierra Leone and Liberia. Recently we had our second annual WBS graduation in the Gambia and twelve students upon completion of all the courses graduated and received diploma, two have enrolled to attend our Bible School which opens on the 29th March, this year we have 15 students and our graduation is due in the first week of December 2009. The churches of Christ in the Gambia are planning a gospel revival next month(30th April-2 May 2009) and Brother Alan Robertson preacher white ferry road Church of Christ preacher is due in the Gambia to serve as our guest preacher special prayers is request as we seek to rise $1,600 to cover the cost of the three days event. Brother Alan have contributed $600.we have raised $600 and stay get $400 to go, if you wish to partner with us in this great outreach and revival kindly let me know. My special thanks go to you for all your prayers and supports."
