"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him’-Acts 10:38 Mission is not only about preaching and teaching to win souls it is also about helping and healing the sick. That is what the Holy Spirit inspired Doctor Luke to inform us about in the above passage. Our Special thanks goes to God, Sister Debra and family and Center Street for setting up the David Elam memorial fund that allows our mission to provide medical service for the treatment of malaria -a killer disease in the Gambia , recently our bills have been going up due to the increase in malaria in the Gambia but praise God that with a little under $4 per full treatment many life have been save thanks to the David Elam memorial fund, we are able to provide free malaria treatment to sufferers who can not afford the meager amount for their treatment. As our mission focuses not only on soul wining but also on helping the needy we have assisted over 600 people with medical treatment over the last 4 years by providing free medical healing, if miraculous healing has cease we must use medical healing. We must follow the example of Christ our Lord who has not left us powerless to continue His mission of doing good-I thank God who have empower us financially to provide medical healing freely to the sick Apart from providing medical assistance to the sick, we have been providing food-rice for the hungry too over $500 was spend for rice and other needs in the month of December in the Gambia and on my trip to Liberia and Sierra Leone. As the global economic crisis get deeper and deeper and support continues to grow smaller and smaller, I pray that we as God’s people do not fail in our mission of saving and helping souls. We have no intention of cutting down on any of our mission project but……………., we need your prayers and support. These are perilous times and it is very stressful not only for you as our supporters and partners but for us as missionaries. What do we do? Close down our mission and return home? These are questions I believe many missionaries like us and mission supporting churches are wrestling with but I say no. Kindly allow me to use this opportunity to offer a special thanks to all our supporters and sponsors as well as partners who have not allow for the current financial condition to kill your commitment and devotion to the success of our mission work. Thanks for all your prayers and support-we are stay hanging on and going on. I also need special prayers for a joint gospel meeting of the churches of Christ in the Gambia plan for May and my up coming mission trips to Liberia and Sierra Leone.
PEACE.ISAAC K. DAYE"
I should also note that we are in the process of assembling our mission team to return to West Africa in June. This will be an exciting, rewarding, and worthwhile effort and will be my 4th trip there!
